The Kingman 911 Communications Center was awarded national accreditation on Friday, November 13, 2020, by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) in the Public Safety Communications program. The program provides a communications center with a process to systemically review and internally assess its operations and procedures while collecting and analyzing data for the purpose of making sound operational and administrative business decisions, creating leadership, and practitioner-accountability.
The Kingman 911 Communications Center is one of only two accredited centers in Arizona, and only the second fire-managed center in the nation to achieve CALEA Public Safety Communications Accreditation.
