VIDEO: Many vaccine manufacturing companies are in a race to get out a COVID-19 vaccine. As several of them complete the many phases of trials before releasing a drug, they're relying on volunteers to test it out. Some firefighters here in Southern Arizona have volunteered to do just that. Tera Henson is a firefighter for the Tubac Fire Department and loves her job. "My favorite part of my job is I get to help people out," Henson said. Her job already is hard, but adding in the COVID-19 pandemic makes it even more challenging. "We didn't know what to expect so it was kind of terrifying when we had to transport someone who was sick with COVID," Henson said. Henson's worrying doesn't stop at the fire station. She said she worries about being the virus back to her family; he wife and two dogs. But now shes taking part in thie trial for the COVID-19 vaccination, so that doesn't happen.
