A Texas Roadhouse restaurant caught fire in Mesa early Thursday morning. According to the Mesa Fire and Medical Department, fire crews responded to the area of U.S. 60 and Stapley Drive for reports of a fire.
When they arrived, fire crews found smoke and fire showing from the roof. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire along the roofline, but still had a significant amount of smoke billowing from the roof.
Fire officials escalated the call to a second alarm, which means more resources were assigned. The additional crews helped knock down the fire that was in the attic.
Fire investigators are at the scene and are working with the owner of the property to determine the cause of the fire.
