Following the approval to establish its own Placentia Fire and Life Safety Department, the City of Placentia is pleased to announce the hiring of Senior Executive Fire Advisor Scott Ferguson to fulfill the duties of Interim Fire Chief to assist with the transition to a locally-controlled Fire Department.
“Chief Ferguson is a highly-qualified Fire Chief with significant experience,” said Damien R. Arrula, City Administrator. “Interim Chief Ferguson offers decades of experience as a firefighter and Chief-including building fire departments from the ground up, and recruiting and retaining highly experienced firefighters.”
“With over ten years of experience as a Fire Chief and 37 years of dedication in the fire industry, Fire Chief Ferguson brings expertise from multiple cities including Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach and most recently Murrieta,” said former OCFA Board of Director and Placentia Councilmember Craig Green.
