PHOTOS: Firefighters, city leaders and community members gathered Tuesday to christen the San Rafael Fire Department’s newest fire station, No. 57, which underwent a $13.4 million facelift at 3530 Civic Center Drive as part of the city’s $73 million essential facilities project to upgrade the city’s fire stations.
Tuesday’s event also celebrated the career of fire Chief Christopher Gray, who is set to retire Dec. 6 after serving the city for 12 years. He has been a firefighter for 41 years.
