Starting Monday morning PG&E plans to shut off power for more than 7,000 customers in 10 Northern California counties due to a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). Gusty winds and Red Flag Warning conditions create higher fire danger prompting the power shutoffs in specific areas where PG&E expects fire danger to be higher.
The first wave of shut-offs was scheduled to start at 5 a.m. Monday
In Shasta County, more than 1,800 customers are in the potential shutoff.
In Tehama County, almost 1,400 customers may have their power turned off. In Glenn County, more than 300 customers. will lose power.
According to the PG&E outage map , the estimated restoration is Tuesday afternoon and early evening.
Restoration happens after crews patrol the power lines for damage and ensure it is safe to re-energizing the lines.
