A quick observation by a resident who called 911, combined with fast work by firefighters from multiple districts, saved two Folsom homes from extensive fire damage Thursday afternoon.
At 3:29 p.m. on Thursday, units from three different fire districts responded to the 100 block of Barrows Way in Folsom after a resident reported visible flames coming from behind their home. As they approached the incident, firefighters observed a column of smoke on their way to the incident. Upon arrival, they noticed visible exterior flamed coming from between two different residential dwellings.
Folsom Police officers had already arrived on scene and notified firefighters that both homes had been evacuated. Crews quickly a water supply and began and aggressive fire attack.
