PHOTOS: After extinguishing a garage fire at a home in Fresno, firefighters say they also took time to help a neighbor repair his American Flag.
Fire officials say they responded to reports of a structure fire in a neighborhood near Clinton and Brawley Avenues in Fresno.
Upon arrival, firefighters say Engine 16 found a fire burning in the garage that had extended into the attic space. Crews were able to successfully stop the fire from spreading into the living area. The occupants, who were home at the time, were able to safely get out. While on-scene, and after the fire was extinguished, firefighters from E-9 took time to help a neighbor repair the American Flag on his home.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
