Shortly after 9 p.m., a single vehicle collided into the Rialto Fire Department station, located at 131 South Willow Avenue. No firefighters were injured but the building received significant damage and was red-tagged. Fire personnel assigned at that station will be sent to the other locations, Rialto Police Department Sgt. Richard Royce said.
The driver was hospitalized, video news outlet OnScene.TV reported. He was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Royce said. Details on the driver’s identity or the type of injuries he sustained were not immediately available.
