Greeley firefighters responded about 6:40 p.m. to the garage fire in the 2700 block of 19th Street Drive, according to a Greeley Fire Department news release. The first engine arrived in less than five minutes, using two hose lines to attack the fire and eventually extinguish it. All responding crews — which included three engines and two ladder trucks — were actively engaged in fighting the fire. A medic and the battalion chief also responded.
Firefighters knocked down the flames in about 15 minutes, before taking another 45 minutes to completely extinguish all hot spots, according to the release.
The man was taken to North Colorado Medical Center with unknown injuries.
