The World Mission Society Church of God hosted an appreciation dinner to honor firefighters who serve the community, March 24. The event was held by the university student volunteer group of the Church of God, “ASEZ” which stands for “Save the Earth from A to Z.” Firefighter Andrew Perbeck said, “They made a great meal for us, did some great songs, did a step performance, and showed some good videos that really explained what ASEZ is all about and their goals to help the community. The main one is to help fight crime, which obviously as firefighters we can stand behind and support.” The "Reduce Crime Movement" is being carried out by ASEZ in over 500 college campuses throughout the world to raise awareness, provide character education to university students, and carry out campus and community cleanups which research shows is effective in reducing crime.
