Twenty-five people from six families are displaced after a fire in Bridgeport Wednesday morning. The fire at 1387 Pembroke St., a six-unit home, was reported just before 11:30 a.m. and the fire department safely evacuated everyone from the home, according to officials. Most of the damage is to two of the six apartments and the residents will likely need to seek alternative shelter. Residents will be able to occupy the other four units. The cause of the fire is unknown and the fire marshal’s office will investigate.
