The town’s fire department quickly extinguished a plow truck that caught fire near a building Wednesday night, fire officials said Thursday.
Around 8 p.m., Brookfield fire companies were dispatched to a building fire on Federal Road. Upon arrival, officials said, Brookfield fire units found a plow truck on fire “in close proximity to a building.”
Two fire engines were on scene quickly and were able to put the flames out. Two additional fire engines and an ambulance also responded as a precaution.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Fire Marshal Office in Brookfield.
