The members of Main station of the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Company have received the President's Award for their exceptional commitment and service to the Fire Company.
In giving the award, President Chris Hwang said the members had contributed to the positive image of the fire company through their work at events such as Memorial Day services, the October Open House, the Torchlight Parade and by hosting many tours for students and other civic groups. "Main station members do it every year with excellence," Hwang said when he presented the award.
The President's Award was established in 1988 and is given annually to a firefighter or firefighters for outstanding service.
