Firefighters quickly knocked down a blaze at the Family Dollar Store on Captain Thomas Boulevard early this morning, officials said. Dispatchers received several 911 calls and a police officer on patrol noticed smoke and fire coming from the back of the building at 238 Captain Thomas Boulevard around 2:50 a.m., West Haven Fire Capt.
