Report of a fire in Bridgeport

Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire at a Hollister Avenue home Sunday night. According to the Bridgeport Fire Department, at 9:30 p.m., the fire department responded to a reported structure fire. The first arriving company found a three-story wood frame home with fire on the second floor rear of the structure. A quick attack by members knocked the fire down and held the fire to the second and third floor rear deck and siding. All occupants were out of the house when firefighters arrived, and there were no injuries to occupants or firefighters. A total of 30 firefighters responded and it took 10 minutes to get the fire under control. All occupants were able to return to the home for the night, no relocation was needed.
