A utility shed in the backcountry caught fire early Monday morning, and numerous firefighters were dispatched to Taconic Road to take care of the smoky blaze.
The fire was put out in about 20 minutes, and no one was injured.
The blaze posed some challenges, because there are no hydrants in the neighborhood. Firefighters used a pond in the area to draw water, and they got an assist from a tanker truck based in Banksville, just over the Greenwich line in Westchester County, N.Y. The fire is under investigation.
