Firefighters are being credited with quick action for saving an unconscious person in a fire on Goffe Street Friday. Union leader Frank Ricci sent out a statement on social media: “Great job by all members on scene; the members of Engine 6 / Ladder Truck 4 for upholding the highest traditions of this great department.” The person was unresponsive when firefighters arrived and made the save. The fire department said there were people trapped on the second floor of the residence on Goffe Street Friday night. “E6 removing a victim from the 2nd floor unresponsive,” the department Tweeted.
