Two people were taken to the hospital last week after a collision on Killingworth Road where the vehicles involved were heavily damaged, fire officials said.
Around 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, Haddam Volunteer Fire Company units responded to a reported crash. Arriving units found two vehicles with heavy damage and occupants pinned inside from the collision, officials said.
It took firefighters and medics about 45 minutes to disentangle and extricate one of the occupants using various hydraulic tools, including the Jaws of Life, officials said.
The injured individuals were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
