No injuries were reported after a fire broke out in a garage on Ledge Road early Saturday afternoon, according to officials.
Fire and police personnel were dispatched just after 1 p.m. and arrived on the scene to find fire coming from a detached garage with extension to the house, officials said.
According to police, the fire was mostly contained to the garage, with minimal damage to the house. The Greenwich Fire Department said on Facebook, “The bulk of the fire was knocked down within 25 minutes and the fire was called under control at the 30-minute mark.”
Both departments confirmed that no injuries occurred.
The Fire Marshal’s Division remained on the scene into the afternoon to investigate the cause and origin of the fire. This investigation was ongoing.
Ledge Road was temporarily closed while crews worked to put out the fire.
