Police are advising residents to expect to see a lot of first responder activity on Saturday as crews engage in a simulated search and rescue exercise in Town Forest.
Wilton CERT, along with Wilton Police, Fire, and EMS will all engage in the joint training operation. The exercise will take place from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
"We are holding the exercise to test our plans and procedures, as well as help us review our training, practice our skills, utilize our equipment, and validate the team's capabilities," police officials said in a news release.
The park will remain open, but access at certain points may be limited due to exercise activity, according to police.
Police also advise there may be some activity in preparation for the exercise on Friday evening.
