Joann May (Ladd) Sekscenski, 77 of Kensington, CT passed away peacefully Friday, May 19th at the Hospital of Central Connecticut surrounded by her family. Daughter of the late Glenn and Beatrice LeClair Ladd, Joann was born in Hartford,
CT. She graduated from Portland High School in 1964 and then entered the United
States Navy. Before being Honorably discharged, Joann worked as an Aircraft Storekeeper at Quonset Point, Rhode Island during the Vietnam War.
She and her husband Lawrence were together almost forty-two years throughout Joann's working career. There were two jobs she loved above the rest, working at Middletown Lanes and co-owning J&L Stained Glass with her husband, Lawrence. She was also a certified firefighter for the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department.
