Stephen F. Mihalek passed on Monday, April 8, 2024 during a period of recovery from surgery earlier in the year. He is survived by his brother, Frank Mihalek of Hollis, New Hampshire and his nephew, Ben Joseph Mieczkowski of Shelton, Connecticut.
He was born on February 25, 1939 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to his parents Stephen and Helen Mihalek and was soon joined by his sister, Patricia, and brother, Frank.
Through his early life he tried many things, but found his calling as a dedicated Firefighter for the City of Bridgeport. This career would go on to add color to his life well past his retirement and he would always be happy to share a story of his time on the job. Stephen was a member of the Bridgeport Area Retired Firefighters.
