Just after 4:00 this morning rescue crews from the Georgetown Fire and Ellendale Fire Companies responded to the southbound lanes of Dupont Blvd (Route 113) just north of the intersection with and Wilson Hill Road for a vehicle accident. While en route crews learned that the crash involved a vehicle and a tractor-trailer. They also learned that one person suffered a head injury and wanted to be evaluated. Upon arrival, crews reported that a chicken truck was on its side and ordered the southbound lanes or Route 113 closed.
