On Monday, September 28, 2020: at 6:23 p.m. New Castle County Paramedics were dispatched to assist Christiana Fire Company with a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Denny Road and Summit Bridge Road. Initial reports indicated one vehicle had overturned and multiple patients were seriously injured. Mutual aid units responded from Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company, Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, and Delaware State Police Aviation Section’s Trooper 4.
One patient was flown by Delaware State Police helicopter to A.I. duPont Hospital for Children| Nemours in critical condition. A second patient was transported to Christiana Hospital by ground in critical condition. A third patient was transported by ground in serious condition. Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
