Police are asking for the public’s help following a fatal crash at a boat ramp Monday evening.
At around 5:30, police say a Nissan Frontier pick-up truck was backing the Concord Pond boat ramp, preparing to load a canoe, when the driver reportedly lost control of the truck. The truck subsequently rolled backward into the water, becoming submerged with him inside.
Crews were able to rescue the driver from the truck and begin lifesaving efforts. The 72-year-old Baltimore man was taken to an area hospital, where he died as a result of the crash.
Troopers are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to contact Senior Corporal J. Smith.
