The Lee County Sheriff's Office and state fire marshal are investigating a fire in a vacant home at 2116 Grace Avenue after firefighters found the body of a man Sunday night. The fire was reported around 10 p.m. with Fort Myers firefighters finding the man's body after getting the blaze under control, officials said. Officials said the house - in disrepair, vacant and owned by First Haitian Baptist Church of Fort Myers on Broadway according to the Lee County Property Appraiser's web site - was fully involved with fire shooting through the roof when firefighters arrived. Florida Power & Light said their records showed that the 2,625-square-foot dwelling has not has electric service since 2007.
