A violent wreck early Saturday along West Commercial Boulevard forced Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue firefighters to cut an injured woman from her wrecked car. The crash happened about 6:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of W. Commercial Blvd. The driver, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, fire rescue officials said. It was not immediately known what caused the accident.
