Several residents of the Villa Sonoma condominiums on Spruce Street in Tampa were evacuated after a two-alarm fire broke out on Saturday morning, according to Tampa Fire Rescue. Firefighters said they could see smoke and flames were coming from the roof and the fire appeared to be in the attic area between an interior and exterior wall behind a façade. Firefighters said no one was injured, but 4-12 apartments are affected and sustained mainly smoke and water damage The fire marshal will determine when it is safe to restore power to the building and allow residents in the unaffected units to return.
