A fire damaged multiple units at a storage facility in DeBary on Saturday, officials.
Some 35 units of Springview Self Storage, at 51 Spring Vista Drive, were damaged due to the fire, authorities said. The fire was first reported at 9:19 p.m., authorities said.
The Orange City Fire Department, which provides fire services to the city of DeBary, was assisted by firefighters from Deltona and Volusia County, in fighting the large blaze, authorities said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal, officials said.
According to information posted on the DeBary Volunteer Firemen’s Association’s Facebook page, firefighters arrived on scene at the storage facility that was on fire and fought the blaze in various sections of the facility.
At the scene, clicking and popping noises were heard as stored ammunition burst in one of the units, authorities said.
