Orlando firefighters rescue 2 trapped in manhole

VIDEO: Orlando Fire Department crews were on scene at State Road 528 where a rescue operation was underway Thursday after two people were trapped off the highway. The OFD Special Operations unit rescued two people from a manhole around 11:15 a.m. near an airport access road and SR 528 Thursday, according to a department spokesperson. The workers fell into an overflow drain and were swept away by water, trapping them underneath the road, according to OFD. After the rescue, the workers were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. One of the workers rescued later died, according to The Associated Press.
