Seven Leon County sheriff's deputies have now tested positive for coronavirus.
On Wednesday, LCSO reported that two deputies had tested positive. The department noted that others who came in contact with the two were self-isolating and would also be tested.
Monday evening, the department reported that five more deputies had tested positive for the virus.
The sheriff's office says all seven deputies are "self-isolating at home." Other deputies and staff who came into contact with them also are in isolation and will be getting tested, the office said in a news release.
It was not clear how many deputies and staffers are in isolation. Meanwhile, the Tallahassee Fire Department reported Monday that an administrator has tested positive. The department notified employees who work closely with the administrator and sent them to get tested. All employees who were tested came back with negative results.
