Firefighters and sheriff's deputies responded to a Wednesday morning house fire that sent three people to a hospital.
Walton County Fire Rescue and Walton County sheriff's deputies arrived at the fire on Pipers Landing Road near King's Lake at 9:45 a.m., according to a Facebook post from the fire department. The 911 caller reported five people were inside the home, including a disabled person. A deputy rescued that person. Three other residents were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to the post.
Firefighters from Liberty Volunteer Fire Department, Argyle Volunteer Fire Department and DeFuniak Springs Fire Department, also provided assistance.
The State Fire Marshal's Office will investigate the cause of the blaze.
