Public welcomed to funeral procession route for fallen fire captain in Okaloosa County

The Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District is inviting the public to come to the funeral procession route and funeral for Captain Lloyd Thomas Losinger, Jr.. The district says the fire apparatus procession will start at 12:00 Saturday, Jan. 16 and the route be Bayou Plaza at 935 John Sims Parkway, east on John Sims Parkway to Partin Drive (Highway 285) and then north on Partin Drive to Heritage Gardens Cemetery. The district is welcoming the public to come to the procession route and show the "outstanding member of our community some appreciation." The district says social distancing is being observed. Once fire apparatus are in place, space will be available for fire personnel in the back parking lot of the Rocky Bayou Baptist Church. For non-procession traffic, there will be parking available at the Heritage Gardens Cemetery and Rocky Bayou Baptist Church next to the cemetery. The funeral will take place at the Heritage Gardens Cemetery in Niceville at 1 p.m.
