VIDEO: Escambia County Schools Superintendent Dr. Tim Smith confirms a teacher at Blue Angels Elementary School was on the small plane that crashed outside the school Thursday afternoon. The plane is registered with Anthem Towels LLC in Pensacola, which is owned by Phillip Keever. Keever’s wife, Tiffany Keever, is a teacher at Blue Angels Elementary School. The couple’s child was also aboard the plane when it crashed. The man and woman, both in critical condition, were flown to Baptist Hospital. The teen was transferred to a hospital by ambulance. First on the scene were teachers who were at the school and some Navy students who were passing by, according to Escambia County Fire Rescue. Naval Air Station Pensacola was called to the scene because they are better equipped to handle an aviation fire.
