Crews with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a series of traffic crashes on I-295 north at Dunn Avenue Thursday afternoon. All lanes of I-295 north were blocked at New Kings Road for about two hours, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. There were three accidents total in the area. One person was taken to the hospital, JFRD said. One crash reportedly involves a semi-truck on its side with a small fuel spill. JFRD said hazmat crews were able to pump the spill out quickly. Drivers experienced delays in the area, but the scene has been cleared.
