PHOTOS: Firefighters in Walton County rescued a kite surfer who got stuck in a tree on Saturday afternoon. Walton County Fire Rescue says while responding to a camper fire near Highway 20 and Woodlawn Road in Portland, firefighters received a second call about a kite surfer stuck in a tree near Station 10 in Choctaw Beach. The fire department says they quickly responded and were able to rescue the kite surfer, who they say was unharmed. In addition to the rescue, the fire department adds that no injuries were reported in the camper fire as well.
