Fire erupts at Naples apartment complex, displacing 32 residents

Crews were on the scene of a fire Sunday morning at River Reach Apartments in Naples. The fire reportedly occurred at 4:11 a.m. along River Reach Drive. According to the Greater Naples Fire Rescue District, 12 of the 16 units where the fire occurred were occupied. Eight of those units suffered fire/water damage. Fire officials said the entire building is currently without power. Overall, 32 residents were reportedly displaced due to the fire. Firefighters could be seen trying to gain access to the smoke and flames coming out of a roof. No injuries were reported in the fire. Gabriella Francisdaky was one of the several River Reach residents who woke up on Sunday in survival mode. "I didn't sleep much. It was a crazy night," said Francisdaky. Greater Naples Fire said that although the fire is under investigation, they can confirm it is accidental in nature.
