Two people are displaced after Savannah Fire Rescue extinguished an electrical fire at a house on Hawthorne Street Saturday night. It happened just after 11:30 p.m. Firefighters discovered a smoldering fire in the wall behind an electrical panel. They quickly extinguished the blaze, preventing it from extending beyond the exterior wall. No one was injured. However, two adult residents were displaced because power to the home had to be cut. The Red Cross was called to provide them with assistance.
