A small fire was extinguished at the Crab Shack restaurant on Tybee Island in the early morning hours Thursday. A Chatham County Police Department officer was able to put that fire out with a fire extinguisher. The fire was contained to an outside vent. The restaurant wasn't damaged, but power is being pulled from one part of the building so an electrician can take a look at it. A manager with the restaurant has stated that the Crab Shack will be open today and ready for regular lunch service.
