Newnan fire officials are investigating a house fire that killed several puppies late Saturday night.
Firefighters arrived just before midnight to 14 South St. and found the home was engulfed in flames, according to Battalion Chief Denise Burks with the Newnan Fire Department.
Burks said the fire spread quickly, and flames were seen coming out every window and door, through the roof, and rolling out from under the porch.
The severity of the fire damaged two vehicles in the driveway, and the heat melted the siding on 16 South St. and 13 South St., according to Burks.
No one was injured in the fire, but the family stated a litter of puppies were inside the home and died in the fire, Burks said. The adult dogs were not injured.
