Two people have been displaced after an early-morning fire in Savannah. According to Savannah Fire Rescue, the fire broke out around 7 a.m. Monday in the bedroom of a home in the 2000 block of Eppinger Street, near the intersection of Brittany Street. Both residents made it out safe and no injuries were reported. The house received heavy fire and smoke damage and the two residents were displaced. The fire marshal has been called to the scene to investigate the cause. Both Savannah Fire Rescue and Savannah Police responded.
