A large trash fire at a Catoosa County transfer station near Poplar Springs Road may cause a delay in trash services Monday. According to Catoosa County PIO John Pless, a call came in around 10:45 Saturday morning, and Tri Community Fire, along with several other stations, responded. Pless says the fire was completely put out by 2:45 p.m. Pless confirms there was significant damage to the trash transfer center, and public workers are continuing to evaluate the building. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Pless says the fire could lead to trash services being delayed this Monday. However, that cannot yet be confirmed.
