A Woodstock firefighter is putting his hobby to work raising money for medical treatment of a brother in uniform’s son. Firefighter David Sargenski, who is also a veteran of the U.S. Army, is raffling off a handcrafted wooden American flag to raise money for 4-year-old Ezra King, who is the son of Woodstock police officer Travis King, and is battling a brain tumor that was diagnosed before he turned 2 years old. With the help of fellow firefighter Justin Wood and Woodstock Marketing and Community Manager Stacy Brown, Sargenski was able to get the raffle established, with 100 percent of the proceeds set to go to help the King family with Ezra’s treatments. “As a father, I could not even begin to imagine what this family is going through. Working side by side with the amazing officers of the Woodstock Police Department, I consider them part of our extended family,” Sargenski said.
