Several firefighters in the city of Toccoa have tested positive for COVID-19, but officials said citizens don't need to worry about service interruptions. City manager Billy Morse said in a press release that many of their firefighters tested negative, so operations at the two fire stations are manageable. They also have partnerships with surrounding fire departments. "The public can be confident that the Toccoa Fire Department will continue to provide excellent First Responder and fire response services during this time," Morse said in the release. "Our firefighters are dedicated to their jobs and fully understand their role to protect and serve." CDC guidelines are being followed, Morse said. Both stations have been deep cleaned, along with all of the fire trucks, to prevent any further spread.
