Chatham Emergency Services and Savannah Firefighters are battling a "large" blaze on the 8500 block of Ferguson Avenue, south of Sandfly. That fire started around 6 a.m.
A police officer on the scene says several businesses are ablaze, including the J.C. Clements Furniture Store, What's For Dinner, and Non-stop Fitness. Chatham County Police say traffic is blocked along Ferguson Avenue, between Skidaway road and Beechwood Avenue.
Officials warn drivers to avoid the area as Ferguson Avenue is currently closed.
