3 displaced, home damaged following Savannah car fire

Three people were displaced and a home was damaged following a car fire in Savannah, according to the Savannah Fire Department. At 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, firefighters said they were called to a home on the 900 block of W. 41st Street, where they found a fully engulfed car in the carport. Firefighters said the flames extended to the roof of the home and damaged portions of the interior. Firefighters said the blaze was quickly extinguished, preventing it from spreading throughout the house. No one was physically injured. Firefighters said they found the resident's pet cat hiding in the closet unharmed.
