Zaxby's in Cleveland is closed due to an early morning fire on Thursday, Sept. 9.
According to Cleveland Fire Chief Ricky Pruitt, the Cleveland Fire Department responded to the restaurant at approximately 1:30 a.m. to a fire alarm. When firefighters arrived, they found smoke in the building, and after making entry, located a fire in a deep fryer/wall area. The fire was put out and firefighters checked for other hotspot, and found one, which was also extinguished.
Pruitt said the restaurant will be closed for a bit to allow for cleaning and an inspection by an electrician.
