A desperate search is underway for a hiker reported missing on Maui. 35-year-old Amanda Eller was last seen Wednesday morning. Eller is a physical therapist working out of Wailuku. Her white Toyota RAV4 was found Thursday near Kahakapao Trail in the Makawao Forest Reserve. She's described to be between 5'7" and 5'9", 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Friday morning, KITV4 talked with Sarah Haynes, a friend of Eller's. Haynes, whose brother went missing 30 years ago lived in Haiku, is leading the search. She says Eller lives in Haiku and may have been seen driving to Makawao Forest. Anyone who may have seen her, or her white RAV4 driving from Haiku to the Kahakapao Trail area is asked to call police.
