Wailuku (singing) bridge in Hilo remains closed in both directions. The bridge closed due to a fire that was reported extinguished around 9:21 p.m. on Monday. The road is shut down until the Department of transportation says it's safe to drive on. Traffic is being rerouted through Wainaku Street.
